Indian Startup Business Eco System

India is now the third largest startup business ecosystem in the world. There are 115 unicorns in India with a cumulative valuation of over $350 billion. This puts India only behind the USA and China. With more than 98,000 government-approved startups, India is on track to achieve its goal of becoming a $5 trillion economy by 2024.

When it comes to the number of startups in India, Bengaluru remains the hub for leading startups. 43 unicorns have their headquarters in the city. This is also supported by the fact that Bengaluru became the seventh largest unicorn hub in the world in 2022. Delhi and Lucknow are the emerging startup ecosystem.


This journey begins with attending the largest Tech Summit in Asia and India's premier technology event: the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2023 in Bengaluru. Contact is then made with micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and the government representatives at the  SME Connect in Lucknow and finally connecting  Austrian startups with Startup INDIA in New Delhi.
